Florida State’s 2024 football season will begin overseas.
For the first time in program history, the Seminoles will play a game outside the United States, opening the 2024 season against Georgia Tech in Dublin, Ireland as part of the Aer Lingus College Football Classic at Aviva Stadium. The news was first reported by Noles247 and confirmed to Osceola.
The game was scheduled as a road game at Georgia Tech. The Week 0 games are expected to be played in late August. This will be the ninth college football game to be played in Ireland, the first of which was played in 1988 and the most recent this August between Navy and Notre Dame.
