“Bear” is back.
The hit FX on Hulu series is set to return for a second season, with the teaser dropping during the 2023 Oscars. Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Adebiri, and the ensemble cast return to answer what’s next for Carmi’s Family Restaurant.

season 2 was first announced In July 2022, FX Entertainment President Eric Schier said in a statement, “‘The Bear’ has exceeded our wildest creative, critical and commercial expectations. We are pleased to announce that creator and co-showrunner Christopher Storer and co-showrunner Joanna Calo Deeply appreciate the superb work in the lead. Jeremy Allen White’s lead performance is superb, as are his co-stars Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Ayo Adebiri, Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, and Liza Colon-Zayas. We Season Can’t wait to work in two.”
The official logline for the 10-episode second season reads: A world away from the world she’s accustomed to, Carmi must confront the soul-crushing realities of small business ownership, their strong-willed and obstinate kitchen staff and their stressful Family relationships must be balanced, all the while dealing with the aftereffects of his brother’s suicide.
Golden Globe winner and leading star White admits Vanity Fair He was “a little nervous” reprising his role due to the critically acclaimed first season. “If you read too many reviews, a lot of thought has been put into this thing that was once ours,” White said. “I hope we can close the world a little bit.”
“Bear” Maker Storer exclusively told IndieWire that the second season will focus on Carmi regaining emotional balance with her grief. “Cami gets a little close with his brother, but how does he handle it going forward? How can he create something new and start from a more positive place?” Storer said.
IndieWire critic Ben Travers Praised The series draws on “the simple pleasures of discovering order amid chaos, as Carmy tries to implement established methodology into his legacy staff of veterans and upstarts. The restaurant is in debt. The books are a mess. The menu’s no Doesn’t make sense — not to Carmi, anyway — but Mickey’s entrenched employees wouldn’t change a thing. So, with a little difference here and a shifting there, Carmi has begun to change the culture.
