Lisa NiemiK’s heart followed the rhythm of love.
The dancer recently reflected Marriage albert deprisco In 2014, after her first husband Patrick Swayze died of pancreatic cancer in 2009.
“I have a dear widowed friend. I fell in love with Albert,” Lisa shared on Today 28 April. “I said, ‘It’s really weird because it doesn’t conflict with the love I still have for Patrick.’ And just because someone’s gone doesn’t mean you’ve fallen out of love.”
66-year-old tied the knot dirty dancing Starr in 1975, and they were married for 35 years. Yet she felt that, after Patrick had passed, she still had a part of herself to share with a companion.
As she put it, “My wise friend said, ‘It is because love comes from that well.’ I thought that was a really wonderful thing to say. Albert and I both felt that we had so much love left to give and we feel so lucky that we found someone to give it to.
However, from time to time, Lisa sees one of Patrick’s movies on television, which brings back her memories.

Lisa also hears Patrick from time to time in her thoughts, encouraging him as she once did.

“I still care and I know how difficult Patrick and my journey with it was,” she told the host Hoda Kotb, “Cancer may have taken her, but she didn’t beat it. And I’m continuing my fight for her.”
Patrick also spoke openly about their love for each other. Four years before his death, he reflected on the key to a successful marriage to Lisa after 30 years.
“I think it’s about keeping love alive, learning how to fall in love again and again, not taking each other for granted, forgiveness, trust,” she shared in 2005. Per daily Mail, “Whatever it is, it works for us.”
