But last fall the two started dating boy meets world alum, which recently shared their hopes of starting a family one dayFocused on his future plans at the right time.
“It’s such an interesting story,” he told E! news’ Adrienne Bailon-Houghton And justin sylvester, referring to his older brother joey lawrenceHe added, “Joe and I were appreciative of the plan that we were to have kids together … when we were growing up. And I missed hanging out before and now he is starting a new family And I was thinking, ‘Man, it would be great if we could do it again, when I didn’t get a chance to raise a family together.'”
“So that’s what I mean,” Matthew said of his recent comments on starting a family. “I didn’t mean to imply that I was dating anyone or pressuring anything.”
But as Matthew said, he has no doubt that Chilli — who shares son tron25, with ex Dallas Austin— would be “incredible” if those plans were to eventually happen.
“She is an amazing person,” shared the actor. “She’s already a mom, she has an incredible son. I have so much respect for how she’s raised him. She’s going to be an incredible mom again and I’ll be incredibly lucky to have that happen in the future.”
Matthew, 43, and Chilli, 52, kicked off this year with a bang when they made their relationship Instagram official On New Year’s Eve, the two shared a video of themselves dancing a-ha“Take On Me” in matching PJs, writing, “#NewYearsShenanigans #OnesieGang #WeCute.”
The “Meant to Be” singer’s rep also told TMZ that Matthew—who finalized her divorce from Cheryl Burke In September 2022—and Chilli began dating just before Thanksgiving, the couple spent that holiday as well as Christmas together in Atlanta, where he met her family.
However, the thing to note is that the two had already become friends and last August both were seen having fun together in the sun.
And Chili has also made it clear that Matthew is her baby (baby, baby), in a recent social media post featuring him and his brothers, Joey and Andrewa shout out to their launch Brother’s love podcast.
“Come on vocals!!! Can’t wait for this podcast!” she wrote on 14 February with Video Singing of all three. Referring to none other than Matthew, he added, “Happy Valentine’s Day… and yes the one on the right (heart emoji.)”
