Nebraska is sending a group of players to the next level to try and compete for a spot in the NFL.
East Nebraska Edge ochoun mathis and WR Trey Palmer Each was selected in the sixth round of the draft on Saturday, and a host of other former Huskers signed deals as undrafted free agents shortly after the draft ended. Here is a list of everyone who is set to enter the pros:

Mathis was taken by the Los Angeles Rams in the sixth round with the No. 189 overall pick, giving Sean McVay’s crew an athletic and long pass rush prospect.
WR Trey Palmer
We analyzed the pick as the Huskers’ one-year star receiver was taken by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the sixth round with the No. 191 overall selection. Palmer spoke to a small group of media shortly after being drafted to give his thoughts on joining the Bucs.

Nelson is headed to South Beach after signing a UDFA deal with the Miami Dolphins.

QB Adrian Martinez
For the first time in Nebraska history, Martinez, a three-time captain, signed with the Detroit Lions as a UDFA to join a quarterback room headed by Jared Goff and Hendon Hooker.

Riley, who jumped from North Carolina to JUCO Garden City CC before playing 16 games at Nebraska in 2020-21, was drafted by the New York Giants in the seventh round. The Oregon defensive lineman was taken with the No. 243 overall pick.
