bonnie reitt has rescheduled four upcoming shows amid surgery for a “medical condition”, and canceled an additional performance.
“Something To Talk About” Singer, 73, Will Not Appear Brandi Carlilehave postponed their shows at Mothership Weekend and Athens, Georgia, to next month; Louisville, Kentucky; Indianapolis, Indiana; and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, according to a statement shared on his official Instagram page on Friday.
The statement began, “Bonnie has a medical condition that required surgery to be addressed.” “The doctors say that for him to recover properly, they recommend that he not perform for a couple of weeks.”
“We deeply apologize for this delay and inconvenience,” it continued. “It’s always upsetting to let your fans, band, crew and our promoters down, but sometimes the unexpected happens.”
The Grammy winner is set to resume her 2023 tour on June 1 in Dublin, Ireland, according to the statement, adding that Raitt is currently in “good hands”.
“Thank you for your well wishes and understanding, and we greatly appreciate you honoring her request for privacy during this healing time,” the statement concluded.
As per the scheduling, Rhett’s shows in Athens and Pittsburgh will now take place in 2024, while his shows in Louisville and Indianapolis will take place in June and July, respectively.
“Get well soon Bonnie,” Carlile, 41, commented on the post. “We all absolutely love you. Everyone is glad you’re taking care of yourself and not pushing it.”
