Mixing bowl is ready- The Great British Baking Show There’s a new co-host!
UK TV personality Alison Hammond confirmed on Friday that she is replacing actor matt lucas in the famous white tent, co-hosting the series – known overseas The Great British Bake Off – with comedian noel fielding,
“It’s official!! It’s happening” The Great British Bake Off , Let’s get this,” Hammond shared alongside a Twitter video of himself and his co-stars interviewing as Cake. “Cake that is 🤣. so excited.”
Along with Fielding, Hammond will be joined by regular judges. Paul Hollywood And Pru Leith,
“So yeah it’s breaking news, Alison is joining Hammond’s team The Great British Bake Off, ” she said in the tongue-in-cheek video. “Alison, do you have any words? ‘Well, did you know I’m absolutely thrilled, I’m going to be meeting the Bakers very soon. i am joining The Great British Bake Off, I am very excited!’ ,

The star then moved the microphone across to his costar cake figurines on the screen. “As you can see all my colleagues are absolutely speechless! Yes, yes, just speechless,” he continued. “We are very, very pleased and we can’t wait to get started.”
On Friday, Channel 4 TV, which broadcasts the series in the UK, confirmed the 48-year-old would be taking over co-hosting duties. This comes three months after the comedian and bridesmaids star lucas announced his departure from the show after three seasons.

‘Finally I can talk about it! I’m absolutely thrilled to join The Great British Bake Off And can’t wait to meet this year’s bakers,” Hammond said in a Channel 4 release. “It’s a huge honor to be back in the tent and I can’t wait to get started.”

Hammond recently hosted 2023 BAFTA Awards with actor Richard E Grant and is known for co-hosting the popular UK daytime show today morningwhere him Interview with the stars including Harrison Ford And Ryan Gosling have gone viral.

Maa’s mother is no stranger to the tentpole and previously appeared as a baker in 2020 for the show celebrity special in aid of Stand Up To Cancer.
Channel 4 also confirmed filming of the show’s 14th series, which airs on Netflix in the US, begins this spring. The series will go on air later this year.
